Party time: GOooo Cougars!

To say that my Cason is a BYU fan, might be an understatement.
I think it happens to be because we live close by BYU and because blue is his favorite color.
(...or is blue his favorite color because..? Doesn't matter)

Cason wanted to play a Blue and White scrimmage with all of his friends.
He invited all the boys from his kindergarten class, plus a handful from the neighborhood.
If you're keeping track, that's 20 of our favorite 4-6yearold boys total (including my own).
It was quite the energy-infused birthday party. No one was allowed inside ;)

When he was running through details with me, he said he wanted pizza, cougar tails (BYU's own donuts), a pinata and of course a cake.
But mostly, just to play football with his friends.

I honestly didn't start pulling party details together until the day before,
and on the day of the party, I chaperoned the school field trip,
so there wasn't much time.
It didn't quite live up to all that I hoped it would when we started talking about it months before!
Oh well.
The birthday boy was happy with it and all of Cason's fellow cougar fans thought it was pretty cool, too.

I raided the BYU Bookstore and Creamery for paraphernalia then printed a few labels.
Cason came up with the games, and even set them up.
All I had to make food-wise was the cake!

And that's all I had time for!
I have to say, less prep time was kind of nice.

It was a windy day--totally ruined my decorations.
But the sweaty footballers sure enjoyed the breeze!

It was still too windy, so he blew out the match instead of the candles.
I think his wish will still come true ;)

GOOOOO Cougars!

Party Time: Rubber Ducky Birthday!

My kids were so excited for their little brother to turn one.
So, for months, they have been brainstorming what kind of party we should throw for him! (they love this party stuff as much as I do ☺)
In the end, after much deliberation from the 5-and 3-y-o siblings, we decided on a rubber ducky theme. Levi always monopolizes the rubber ducky supply at bath time, so they thought it was quite appropriate.
:: A rubber ducky birthday party over the weekend for the one-year-old at our house ::

I served soup in bread bowls with a green salad and deviled eggs.
But the bulk of the food, lets be honest, was sweets.
Banana cake
Sugar cookies
Jello cups
Handmade suckers
Lemon bars
Donut holes
and Italian sodas

I just still can't get over his sweet one-year-old face.
Why did this happen so fast?

Party time: Monkey Style.

I'm such a bore these days... I feel so on top of things if I actually get dressed and ready.
And then if I can do a fun project AND blog about it... well then I might as well be called Mother of the year!
It doesn't really ever happen.
So instead I will just cheat and recount the past.
I have three kids birthdays coming up.
The older two have already decided... A BYU party for the boy and a Mermaid party for my girl. Big surprise...NOT.
We've already been talking details.
But first we have a one-year-old party and I need to come up with a simple something, and fast!
I have been going through some of my past birthday parties for inspiration.
All it made me realize was that there were a few that never made it to this blog...
so I figured this is what I will do... relive the past until I actually get my rear in gear for some new material ;)

I had a thing for monkeys as a child (and as a teen, I'll admit it)
so I got it out of my system when I threw a Monkey Party.
Cason turned 2 four years ago,
so four years ago... we partied like Monkeys--

Thanks for partying it up MONKEY STYLE with me!

I can't believe I'm getting ready to celebrate my six-year-old!
Time seriously flies.
