Do we have all the ingredients to make Birchermüesli?
Me: I don't think so... and are you seriously hungry right NOW?
Then I rolled over and went back to sleep.
He ended up eating crackers and cheese for breakfast that morning.
I had a slice of toast and tea.
I was introduced to Birchermüesli when I married my [100%] Swiss man. We weren't married more than a month before he hinted that I call his mom or aunt and learn how to make it. I happily obliged and I am glad that I did! (he is too.)
It was breakfast yesterday and this morning, and we'll probably have it tomorrow as well (it makes that much). It turns out different every time, but I think yesterday's batch was my favorite so far.
Birchermüesli.

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
